Our new band "behind the curve"
Submitted by noworky on Sun, 2010-05-09 10:01So despite playing guitar hero in it's infancy and loving it I only just got round to buying one of these games for myself. Game were clearing the decks and we picked up Rock Band (guitar, mike and drums) for £50. You certainly get a lot in the box for £50 and it revealed "youngests" geekier side as she revelled in the fact that she had put the whole thing (kit) together herself without using the instructions.
Off topic, this pulse mini thing totally worky
Submitted by noworky on Sat, 2010-05-08 00:04One of my kids wanted a new phone recently and as they are fussy about their tech they requested a satio, a nexus one a hero, an iphone.... NO! It was a stroke of luck that I happened across the T-mobile Pulse Mini. £100 PAYG for a fully operational nippy android handset, albeit with a lower resolution and restistive touch screen. However I'm still completely amazed. After the initial shock that it worked at all. I began to go through the features one by one and it's a series of pleasant surprises.
Sony and Microsoft reveal controller tech at E3 2009.
Submitted by noworky on Fri, 2009-06-05 18:10I watched this and I loved it. It seems rare to see the recent trend for putting the engineers on stage pay off.
It's great that Sony appears to have put a live demo on stage, it looks commercially ready. I wonder how many cycles it consumes.

Submitted by noworky on Sat, 2009-02-21 02:04For those of you who like a little pizazz in their posts but cannot be bothered to write HTML, you now have a more fully featured editor in the form of TinyMCE. Also you should be able to add scalable inline
images by using the camera button.
